Guangxi Beihai, An Intimate Touch to South China Sea
Beihai, which means "north of the sea" in Chinese, a prefecture-level city located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was an important departure port of the maritime silk route in ancient China. This city was named after a fishing village, where the first known settlers were Danmin, boat dwellers gathering in the settlements near the harbor. Owing to the fact that the harbor faces the north of the sea, this village got its name “Beihai Village”.
Beihai is a beautiful coast city full of bright sunshine where there is azure sea surrounded by lovely beaches; the blue seawater glitters like crystals. How pleasant it could be when you are standing in front of the sea and breathing the refreshing air.

It offers people a shelter from the sun and rain when they walk under the arcade.
