Liuzhou Bridge Wins Luban Award
The Zhegujiang Bridge, in the city of Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region received the highest prize in China’s building industry recently - the Luban - according to the China Building Industry Association.
The 1,938-meter-long bridge has the largest main bridge span of all the bridges in Guangxi, and is the main link between the city’s Liubei district and the Henan Hi-tech Zone, giving it a major role in improving the city’s road network.
The award was established by the China Building Joint Association, in 1987, to encourage building companies to improve their construction quality. It was handed over to the China Building Association, in 1993.
