Guangxi Expands Customs Hours in Key Border Ports with Vietnam

The Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region expanded the hours of customs clearance in some of its key border ports on June 16.

The new time period is scheduled to start on July 1, 2015, after negotiations by Chinese and Vietnamese governments.

The hours for customs clearance of people in Youyi Pass-Youyi Port are expanded from 8:00 am-8:00 pm to 8:00 am-9:00 pm in Beijing time and the time period for cargo is adjusted from 8:00 am-5:30 pm to 8:00 am-7:00 pm. While in Dongxing-Moncay Port, the closing time for customs clearance of people is extended from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm and the time for cargo remained unchanged, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The hours extension in border ports helps provide import and export enterprises, tourists and people living in border areas plenty of time to clear customs, lowering costs and increasing convenience.
