Guangxi Nanning to Embrace Another Leisure Park
The Leisure Park in Wuxiang New District Headquarters Base, with its Phase-I construction being basically completed, started to reveal its initial romantic beauty to the people of Nanning. It is hoped that the park can be opened to the public in mid September this year.
Zhou Yan, deputy director of Ecological Environmental Protection Bureau of Wuxiang New District, told the reporters that the Leisure Park is designed as home to flowering shrubs and bushes, with 1,981,144 plants in 25 varieties such as bougainvillea, Oleander, Hibiscus, camellia and jasmine. Among these shrubs and bushes, 291,000 bougainvilleas (now 178,000 have been planted) in 40,000 m2 will create an unprecedented wealth of spectacular floral display, presenting the largest scale of such landscape in Nanning.
The Leisure Park is also home to 12,190 plants of 28 species of flowering trees like crape mytle, sophora japonica, and bauhinia blakeana. The most attractive goes to the 11-hectar-large garden specifically designed for 8,809 crape mytle trees in 50 varieties, which will be the first in Nanning and at the same time have the richest varieties of crape mytle in the southwest of China.
Besides the shrub and tree garden areas, there is a place particularly left for families, where parents can take their children to the pottery show and do clay modeling by themselves, or amuse themselves in the mud funfair and learn some knowledge about earth in the showroom.
The Leisure Park, which includes more unique designs, will open its door and greet visitors in a few months.
