The Liuzhou-Wuzhou part of Liuzhou-Zhaoqing Railway given construction approval
The Liuzhou-Wuzhou part of the Liuzhou-Zhaoqing Railway was recently given approval for its construction from the National Development and Reform Commission. The news was confirmed by the Liuzhou Railway and Civic Aviation Office and the official website of the Railway Construction Project (RCP).
The Liunan Railway Corporation, as the project owner of the construction, has invited bids on the RCP website for the supervision of the geographical prospecting project in the past few days.
The new Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway will start construction from Jinde Station on the Hunan-Guilin Rail Line, pass through Liujing county, Xiangzhou county and many other counties and finally end at Wuzhou South Station on the Nanning-Guangzhou Rail Line. It will also be connected to many important rail lines such as Guizhou-Guangxi Rail Line and Sanshui-Maoming Rail Line which are vital lines for transportation from the northwestern and southwestern regions to the Pearl River Delta region.
The Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway will stop at Jinde, Maping, Xiangzhou and many other stations. Its full distance will be 238.7 kilometers and the full distance of the main railway roadbed is about 97 kilometers, accounting for 40.62 percent of the whole railway.
It has 114 large-sized and middle-sized bridges and 93.06 kilometers of tunnel, accounting for 20.4 percent and 38.98 percent of the whole railway respectively. The total investment value for the project is 19.6 billion yuan ($3.2 billion), including a capital fund of 9.8 billion yuan. The time limit for the project is planned to be 48 months.
