Liuzhou opens the first bus route to Mount Chuan
Liuzhou opened a new bus route to Mount Chuan on Sept 1 2014. It is the first bus route in Liuzhou to promote a public transportation service in rural-urban areas.
The full distance of the bus route from Liuzhou to Mount Chuan is 32 kilometers, including 16 kilometers on urban roads and 16 kilometers on the 209 National Road. The bus route has eight stops, such as Lotus Passenger Transfer Station and Bailian Airport Road Station. Eighteen buses, fitted with GPS, offer service for passengers every day.
The first bus departs from Liuzhou Bus Station at 6:30 am and departs from Mount Chuan Station at 5:50 am in the summer and 6:10 am in winter. The last bus is at 8:00 pm from Liuzhou Bus Station and 7:30 pm from Mount Chuan Station. Buses run at 10-minute intervals with a full ticket price of 7 yuan ($1.14).
The bus route is currently being run by Liuzhou Jiaxing Bus Company, sponsored by Guangxi Ruitong Transportation Company. The Liuzhou-Mount Chuan bus route was thought up by many government departments working together and finally got approval from Liuzhou's government.
