Two of World’s Longest Bridges in China

A recent article on CNN Travel from Travel + Leisure listed the world’s longest bridges of various types – from natural to man-made, over water to high in the sky – and two of the top 10 overall are in China. China’s engineered and natural bridges made many of the lists as well, with five of the top 10 suspension bridges in China, for instance. But it’s two particular bridges in China that snagged the top accolades in the world.
The first, the Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge is the longest rail bridge in the world, spanning 102.4 miles. It connects Shanghai to Nanjing along the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and runs parallel to the Yangtze River, providing travelers with stunning views of lowland rice paddies and the Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou.

The Fairy Bridge in Guangxi, China, is the world’s longest natural bridge span at 400 feet. Thousands of years of natural erosion created this limestone stunner, which is accessible only by a three-hour rafting trip.
