New Routes from Mount Wutai Airport to Guilin

Travelers will soon have the option of flying directly to five new cities from Mount Wutai airport, according to a press conference held at the airport on March 16.

Passengers will be able to choose flights to Guilin in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Jinan in Shandong province, Lanzhou in Gansu province, Xiamen in Fujian province, and Nanjing in Jiangsu province.

Opening in December 2015, Mount Wutai airport already has direct flights to eight major cities across China, such as Shanghai and Guangzhou. The new routes will provide extra convenience for passengers and help Mount Wutai increase the number of tourists visiting the renowned Buddhist attraction.

The airport hopes to add even more routes in the future, with a plan to open routes to 19 cities by the end of the year, according to Liu Xuexin, manager of the airport.
