Huanjiang County Holds Photography Exhibition in Nanning

The Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county held the "World Heritage, Beautiful Huanjiang" Large-scale Photography Exhibit at the first-floor exhibition hall of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous county library in Nanning from April 29 to May 7.

The exhibit aimed to show the natural karst landscape in Huanjiang and the unique charm of the Maonan ethnic group.

Huanjiang is China's only county inhabited by the Maonan people. Its karst landscape was recognized as world natural heritage on June 23, 2014. The karst old-growth forest there has the largest preserved area and the strongest original nature compared with others at the same latitude, which has immeasurable aesthetic, scientific and tourism values.

The main contents of the exhibition were Huanjiang karst landscape, local folk culture and the Maonan mountain areas. The photos displayed in the exhibit were mainly chosen from the picture album of Guangxi Huanjiang Karst published by Guangxi People's Publishing House, "Beauty in Huanjiang" National Photography Exhibit and photos taken by Huang Yunqing.
