Cycling Event held in Nandan County Guangxi

Cycling enthusiasts from provinces such as Hunan, Hubei and Sichuan flocked to Nandan county, Hechi city for the 2018 "Danquan Cup" Nandan Cycling event, which took place on May 5.

With a theme of "riding in Nandan, admiring its new look", the event was aimed at showcasing the poverty-alleviation achievements of Nandan county and celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The cycling route is about 25 kilometers, and cyclists ride past the Geyasigu Agricultural Demonstration Zone and Geyasigu Scenic Region, browsing historical sites set amidst the charming scenery.

Due to the rain over the past week, the road conditions for the ride were sometimes horrible. Despite the trials, Kong Deyu won the men's A group in the cycling race and Jiang Dongmei was crowned the champion of the women's division.

In recent years, Nandan county has attached great importance to sports and promoted fitness programs among local residents. This cycling event is designed to promote the development of the sport industry, enrich local people's lives, promote the development of all-for-one tourism and improve Nandan's image.
