Longsheng Terraced Rice Fields
Visitors to Guilin should consider visiting Longji(Dragon’s Backbone) Terraced rice fields . It is famed for its terraced rice fields. The mountain range was turned into rice fields by minority peoples who were forced into the mountains thousands of years ago. The area is unique in that members of the Yao, Dong, and Miao Ethnic Minority Groups coexist together and their cultures in this part of Guilin are unique in that they have taken aspects of each other’s cultures and combined them into their own. In each season, Longsheng looks different and no time is a bad time to visit.

Li River Cruise/Boat Cruise
The Li River Cruise is the highlight of all Guilin tours. The cruise starts in Guilin and ends in Yangshuo and is over eighty kilometers long. The Li River passes by some of the most beautiful landscape on earth. It is like an ancient Chinese landscape painting come to life as you slowly cruise by bamboo groves, ancient villages, fishermen on bamboo rafts, and locals washing their laundry in the river. It is a very special experience. The karst mountains that line the river are very unique and many of them have been formed by millennia into different shapes.
