Moon Hill
Overview:The Moon Hill in Yangshuo is a huge slice of rock with a round hole in its center. There is a 800 steps marble paved mountain path, in which visitors can reach the hill top. At various angles it resembles from the new moon to a full moon. The rock measures approximate 380 m (height) by 400 m (length) by 220 m (width).
Yangshuo Moon Hill is a beautiful karst mountain with a large circular cave, near the peak, that goes all the way through it. Depending from where you are looking at the mountain, the cave looks like the full, waxing, and waning moon. The mountain is surrounded by a village and the countryside, making it even more picturesque. The cave can be reached by climbing steps carved into the mountain. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular and overlook the surrounding countryside. Fantastic photos can be taken either from the top of the mountain, or taken of the mountain itself.
